When I first heard that Roland Mouret was designing a capsule collection for Gap, I got all excited imagining beautiful Galaxy-style dresses at just a tiny-fraction of their usual cost. Well, the dresses will be appearing in-store from next week, but going by the pictures above, there's not a whole lot of galaxy-style going on there - unless you count the cap sleeves on the black wool dress in the middle, that is.
No, for Gap, Mouret appears to have adopted "baggy" as his watchword, with a series of easy-to-wear numbers which the designer tested on Gap's office workers rather than on models. "I have always treated my designs like a T-shirt and jeans, and that is the Gap culture," he told The Telegraph, adding that the t-shirt style red dress (yours for £45) to the right of our picture,is his favourite piece in the collection. As for the rest - the black shift is £55, and the grey wool mini dress £78.
