It's really not a good time to be a Topshop designer, is it? Kate Moss is lined up for the new year, Celia Birtwell has just completed her second capsule collection for the chain, they've roped Peaches Geldof in to design jewellery, and now comes the news that designer Peter Jensen is the latest in a long line to design for Topshop. Run, Topshop designers - run for the hills! Get those CVs polished up before the celebs take your jobs for good! (Hint: send them to Matalan. Matalan needs you.)
There aren't too many details to be had about this latest collaboration at the moment, but from the tantalising glimpse on the Topshop website, it looks like the Jensen collection will be pale and interesting, and will focus on dresses. In the meantime, the picture on the left is from Jensen's Spring/Summer 07 collection, and is rather lovely. All these designers, though, and Topshop still can't get the dress I want in stock. I'm sure they're just doing this to taunt me...
