I love eBay. Don't you just love eBay? I particularly love it when I stumble across some poor seller who's got a genuine designer item up for sale, but who has mis-spelled the designer's name. Result: no one else can find it through the search function, and it sells for a song! If you have the time and patience to search all the possible mis-spellings of your favourite items as well as their real names, you can sometimes grab a bargain: for instance, those of you hoping to track down Primark's must-have gold dress may be interested to know that some people think "sequined" is spelt "sequence"...
If you don't have the time to trawl the site for mis-spelled items, mind you, new search engine eBooBoos promises to find them for you. Just type in the name of the item you're looking for (with the correct spelling), and it searches eBay for all possible misspellings. When I tried this out, unfortunately, all I found was a whole bunch of very fake items, which had probably been mis-spelt that way deliberately, but you never know - there could be the odd little gem a-lurking amongst all those "Snugg boots" and "Ucci" bags...
