Last month they flew her to Paris Fashion Week to watch their catwalk show, and this month Chanel still seem to be courting British singer Lily Allen - with rumours growing that the fashion house are keen to work with her in some way or another. Lily reportedly had a "secret meeting" with Karl Lagerfeld recently, with various news sources claiming that Lily is the designer's new inspiration.
If this is all true, then it will indeed be a bit of a departure for Chanel, who've always had a far classier image than young Lily, who is most famous for wearing her vintage dresses with trainers and flashy gold jewellery. Rumour has it that this is Chanel's attempt to "get down with the kids" and make their look a little more youthful. An interesting idea - but one that I'll be taking with a pinch of salt for the moment...
