Knitwear can really be hit or miss on the high street, I'm forever scouring charity shops for something special and Head CQ Gemma is apparently a dab hand at knitting. Its easier to find something if you have a designer budget, like this Catherine Malandrino cardie that would set you back a hefty £269.99. Ok so its a different colour, but Miss Selfridge's dark grey cable cardie is pretty similar and a fair bit cheaper at £30. A nifty piece of knitwear can be a quick solution to a sartorial dilemma and give you comfortable polished look, like this purple jumper from Dorothy Perkins for just £15, or if you're minted Pucci's version in mohair has similar bell sleeves but costs a whopping £385. Other good high-street shops for knitwear are Benetton (lambswool v-necks + polos) and Uniqlo (very hardwearing pure wool knits).
