Is This French Connection Shift the Dress of the Season?

Frenchconnection

Natalie Imbrulgia's got one. Jennifer Love Hewitt's got one. Actresses Amy Smart and Diane Kruger have one. Vogue describes it as "the most perfect incarnation of this season's Sixties-style mini shift dress". It's French Connection's £130 serpent dress and it's everywhere. It's being lauded as the must-have dress of the season (Wait a minute, I though the Primark sequin dress was the dress of the season?), but as Catwalk Queen readers know better than style bibles and stars, I thought I'd ask your opinions on it. So, what do you think? Have you been rushing out to buy this so-called "must have", or will you be sticking with Primark?

Love it - loved it when it came out and loved it when i bought it for £50 at an outlet mall this weekend. Brilliant for Christmas and as Natalia says - now the hype over it has died down - I will be wearing it to at least 2 parties this year. I know it is last season - but I don't care!!!

  • i love this dress

i bought it in all black for homecoming and wore it with a pair of black nylons and black marjanes with a red heel and personally.. i think i was the hottest thing on that dance floor because of it =]

i bought this dress at christmas i absolutley fell inlove with it and i have worn it twice, everyone had it on an i felt silly as there where so many, but now it has died down and im thinking of getting it altered into a tight mini to wear with tights and chiunky shoes might aswell see if it does justice. and yes it is pricey but my bf bought mine!

I LOVE IT! It's so versatile, and very flattering. There are so many sweater dresses and other minis that are skin tight it's nice to have something glitzy that doesnt hang off every curve!

£130 is not expensive for something as gorg as this dress, and although all the celebs are wearing it, it certainly stands out at your local bar ;)
