Breakfast At Tiffany's Dress Auction

Breafast_at_tiffanys

"Going once.... going twice.... SOLD to the hysterical, screaming Aussie in the back stalls!!"

I wish! It's a nice thought but the truth is that this image to left is the closest that I'm ever going to get to the Breakfast At Tiffany's LBD set to go under the hammer next week at Christie's auction house in London. Made infamous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 classic film and designed by her dear friend, Hubert de Givenchy, this icon of cinema history is expected to fetch £50,000 to £70,000.

It will be auctioned on behalf of City of Joy Aid, a charity which helps the under-privileged living in India. With the late Ms Hepburn's deep love for helping third-world nations, I'm sure she wouldn't want it any other way. Now, where did I put that spare £70K again...?
