Bottega Veneta was declared "the international luxury brand that has had the greatest international impact in terms of sales, service and exposure in 2006" (what a mouthful!) last night at the Walpole Awards. The Walpole group are a not-for-profit organisation formed to further the interests of the British luxury industry, sounds a bit fishy to me. Along more obvious nominees Mulberry and Agent Provocateur, Kate Moss was nominated for the British Luxury Brand award! Guess it just goes to show how much money she's raking in... (jealous!) Bottega Veneta's creative director Tomas Maier said "It's a privilege to be in the company of such iconic luxury brands. Bottega Veneta has long been committed to British luxury and we're delighted to have that commitment recognised by such an important and respected organisation."
