Marilyn Monroe Inspired Items Go Up for Auction

Monroe_3

Any excuse to post this fabulous photo of Marilyn Monroe - isn't she just gorgeous? A group of London-based designers certainly think so, anyway: they've all been busy designing Marilyn-esque items for the Forever Marilyn auction, in aid of Save the Children. Vivienne Westwood, Philip Treacy, Alexander McQueen and Sadie Frost are amongst the designer names who've donated pieces for the auction, which was organised by actress Samantha Morton and a group of celebrity friends. Given the calibre of the designers involved, I wouldn't think this will be the place to grab a bargain, but if you're a fan of glamorous, fifties style, it's all happening on October 23rd at 34 Brunton Street, London and you'll find more info at the Save the Children website.
