Quite often I find myself liking high street options better than their catwalk counterparts, but in this case, the designer wins hands down. The green dress on the left is from Chloe's diffusion line, See by Chloe, and comes in at £260. Satin may not be the most wearable fabric, but the simple button-down shirt dress with its feminine neckline is a great shape for most body types. Compare that with Topshop's green satin offering, which resembles something you'd put on top of a toilet roll. The top is likely to make anyone over a B-cup look like they have a uni-boob, while the bubble hem is not hip-friendly at all. The only saving grace is that you'd only be wasting £45 on it if you did invest. Perhaps it looks better on?
