Alice Temple at Handbag on The Fur Debate

Burberryfur
The fur debate is one of the most revived topics in fashion, and here at Catwalk Queen it has certainly inspired some lively commenting. Now that's it's getting cold again, the season of fur is back upon us, Alice Temple re-ignites the debate at Handbag.com. Beginning bravely by talking about her own fur purchases, she goes on to denounce fur by the end of the article, claiming she will never wear it again. But will you? There's no commenting possible at Handbag.com, but you're free to air your views with us!

p.s. The coat is Burberry, and yes, the fur is real.

I wear fur as I like it. Nothing compares to real fur and it is not as cruel as halal meat. Rabbit fur is using the whole animal as many people eat rabbit.

why wear fur when you can afford not to? i wear leather, but at least the whole cow is used. the same argument cannot be applied to most furs - minks for example, it takes around 30 of them to make a small coat - and minks certainly arent edible. The only fur i would ever wear is faux - which i think looks cheap!

I don't mind eating animals too much. Well, I do but I don't dwell on it. Anyway, I think fur makes one look very old, not to mention showing off too much. That coat by Burberry is very, very hideous by the way. It could be faux fur and it would still be awful. Columbo trenchcoats and fur are a match made in hell.

As far as I'm aware, nothing I've ever worn has any fur on it.

I'm definately against fur. It's not fair that thousands of animals - who are equal to us - have to be murdered for our vanity. Faux fur is just as nice, and is cruelty free.
