Normally classic wearable clothes really please me. "Now there goes a designer who lives in the real world" I think, "they aren't showing off, they're just making good clothes". But after having my eyelids ripped apart by the Christopher Kane show nothing seems to hit my fashion buttons anymore. Admittedly Claire Waight Keller's task ain't easy: maintain Pringle's reputation, produce something interesting, and mostly knit. The collection is just the wrong side of classic, the models look like they're going to an AnorexicsAnonymous meeting in Sloane Square or the Hamptons...
Admittedly there are a few nice outfits, like the pretty yellow sweater below, the skirt looks very well made. Close up the grey dress is an admirable exercise in knit but when other designers are bringing out erotic nu-rave se-through minidresses...
