Peta Protest at Burberry Show

Burberry_12 I was so busy drooling over the clothes at this week's Burberry show at Milan Fashion Week that I completely neglected to mention the Peta protest that happened while the models were still strutting their stuff.

Peta protesters jumped onto the catwalk during the show chanting "Fur is Dead" and carrying banners reading "Burberry Fur Shame". They chose to make their entrance at the same time as model Otis Reading (son of Bryan Ferry, fact fans), who happens to be joint master of the Shropshire hunt. Of course, it's not the first time Burberry have incurred the wrath of Peta, and, given the brand's continued use of real fur, I'd bet money that it won't be the last, either...

Why such hostility? Do you think genital electrocution and being boiled alive is funny?
