Kate Moss for Calvin Klein Upsets Muslims

Kate_and_jamie_1 Poor old Kate Moss just can't seem to get it right these days, can she? Pete Docherty, cocaine addiction, that awful outfit she wore to Bobby Gillespie's wedding - and now Kate's in trouble again, this time for the Calvin Klein ads she shot recently with Keira Knigtley's ex, Jamie Dornan.

The ads, which show Kate and Jamie in, er, a state of undress,  attracted the fury of New York's Muslim community when a giant billboard was erected opposite an East Village Mosque. Worshippers have apparently taken umbrage at the images as, under Muslim law, men aren't supposed to look at undressed ladies other than their wives.

Kate has also upset the rest of us this month by allegedly agreeing to marry Pete Docherty. Her troubles, they are many.

Kate Moss for Calvin Klein Upsets Muslims - Comments

  • yeah, it's all Kate Moss's fault :)

  • See what I mean? Causing trouble wherever she goes - even here on Catwalk Queen :p

  • Teaqa

I really do apologise for what I said, I realised I had totally misunderstood your comment almost as soon as I posted mine.

I'm a muslim and I guess I’ve just heard too many accusatory and stereotypical remarks recently (although I do understand why, in the light of everything that has happened) so I just jump on them. I think I’m becoming just as bad as the ‘sterotypers’ and assuming things about people too.

Also for the record I didn’t intend to imply you were racist etc and I am sincerely sorry for my thoughtless words. Sorry to CQ too, for starting this mess.

  • Teaqa what on earth did I say about terrorists? You made that association so you should question your beliefs. The point was if they aren't supposed to be looking at undressed women then why are they doing so? Is it so hard to turn one's head? They should be ashamed of taking a jolly good look if they believe they shouldn't be.

And for the record my partner is Muslim. As are all my in-laws, neighbours et etc I doubt some how I am racist. I also have a Masters degree specialising in terrorism so I think I have a good grasp of what it is and isn't and it certainly does not come into play here.

  • i think it wasn't in good taste, just like how it wouldnt be in good taste to put that up outside a church. it's not hard to be respectful of others.
