The annual bikini features over at the original Catwalk Queen were some of the most successful features on the site (what can I say, I've spent 22 years working out how to hide lumps, bumps and pasty bits on the beach so I must be doing something right by now). This year I'm doing things a bit differently. I'll be blogging swimwear of the day for the next few weeks, and each day I'll pinpoint one product from the UK and one from an international stockist (primarily in the USA). For quick access to all of them, you'll just need to click the handy new 'Swimwear' category in the sidebar.

Without further ado, here's the very first one...see over the jump for info.

As you can see from the picture on the right, blue 'kinis look good in photos so if you're conscious of your friends / family wanting to take lots of embarassing photos of you on the beach, you're already one step ahead with this colour. The bikini by Jonathan Saunders for Topshop Boutique is a great designer style for girls who carry their fashionista status from the high street to the pool. The tie detail adds a bit of interest and will detract from problem areas if you fasten them in the right place! The strapless style also means a strapmark free tan (though remember to stay in the shade between 11 and 3 and use factor 15+ sunscreen. You will still tan).

In contrast to the trendy look of the Topshop bikini, the Delias bikini is a more classic style with a slightly surfy feel, and comes with a halter top which is good for supporting bigger boobs. It's also sold as separates, so you can mix and match sizes if you're top or bottom heavy.
