All the style rags are telling us that we just have to wear a white dress this Summer (time to whip out the fake tan and stain remover) so in the name of fashion I've trawled the high street for the best budget copies of designer offerings. There's five more under the cut. I'll spare you the talk about what a difficult colour white is to wear...I'm pale and curvy and even I'm tempted to try the trend with gorgeous dresses like these on offer!

Catwalk: Chanel RTW S/S 2006. High Street: Crochet Babydoll £65 Oasis

Catwalk: Dolce & Gabbana RTW S/S 2006. High Street: Cotton Sun Dress £40 Mango

Catwalk: Calvin Klein RTW S/S 2006. High Street: 'Darling' dress $168 Anthropologie

Catwalk: Miu Miu S/S RTW 2006. High Street: Crochet Dress £45 Topshop
- Zara also do a gorgeous Broiderie Anglaise version of this dress, no pic though, sorry!

Catwalk: Bottega Veneta RTW S/S 2006. High Street: Belted Shirt Dress £20

Catwalk: Alberta Ferretti RTW S/S 2006 High Street: Cream Bow Band Dress £70 Warehouse
- If you know white won't suit you, why not go for a pale colour that's slightly more flattering but could be mistaken for it at a distance? Lemon and cream hide the dirt a tiny bit more, too.
