Peachy
I've had enough of all these skinny jeans, tunic tops and ballet flats, so with this week's outfit pick, I'm going for something a bit different and more mature, starting with a pair of 1930s style wide leg trousers from L.A.M.B (on sale at $132.50). Wide trousers like this are great for lengthening the leg and hiding the bits you'd rather people not see, and give your outfit a bit of Hollywood glamour...

It's important to keep the top half quite fitted to balance the look, though. Dorothy Perkins £20 belted blouse is perfect for this, accentuating the waist and giving some shape to the silhouette. Since the trousers are long, they call for high-rise - Gwendolyn Carrie's stunning wedges are the perfect match (and so they should be for £349 at Viva La Diva). Finally, a jacket tops off the look and keeps you warm. I've gone against my own rules with FCUK's £90 jacket since it's quite boxy, but I couldn't resist the retro Jackie O style of it, and worn open it lacks the bulk of a double-breasted mac. It's nice to break the rules sometimes, and mixing 60s and 30s styles stops your outfit from looking too much like a costume!
