CQ's Summer Suitcase - Shopping in New York
Time for the next in our holiday packing pieces. This one is great for those of you off on city breaks for some much-needed retail therapy. We're off to New York (in our dreams) and we know that trying to stay comfortable while still looking ultra-chic whilst hitting the shops along Fifth and Madison Avenues can be quite a task. Despair not, here are a few essential items to help you out if you're off to spend some moolah this Summer...
A loose kaftan style top, like this one from FCUK for £40 is great for easy chic that keeps you cool in the changing temperatures, but is easy to slip in and out of in the fitting rooms. Wear it with a pair of skinny bootcut jeans from Topshop for £38 and add some comfy but pretty flat jewelled sandals from ASOS for a bargain £12. You'll need a large bag to store all those handy credit cards, and we've got one from Dorothy Perkins for £22. For evening, swap the kaftan for a sexy wrap top (£38 from Warehouse) in a stand-out print, and swap the flats for some gold sandals from Next for £39.99. For an all-purpose accessory, stash the Indian-style bangle for £6 from Accessorize in your suitcase. With the kaftan it's boho, with the wrap top it's bling!
