The 60s Mini Dress
Sienna Miller may have disappointed with her fashion choices at the Oscars, but off the red carpet, she is successfully channelling the 60’s style of Edie Sedgwick, who she plays in the upcoming film, Factory Girl. Think blonde cropped hair, mini dresses and black tights. She was the boho queen of last summer, and once again her look is the style of the moment. Stage your own 60’s revival with some of these mini dresses (and some not-so-mini-dresses), keep warm with black tights, and slick on a bit of black eyeliner if you really want to turn back time.
First up, Oasis’s lacy black shift dress, provides timeless style for £50. If you’re feeling self conscious, flatter your curves with Miss Selfridge’s wearable geometric print wrap dress. The skirt's a bit longer, so if you don’t have the legs for the short version, this dress is a good alternative.
ASOS’s poloneck dress is classic sixties, and perfect for hiding your top half when your exposing so much leg. ASOS also supply the tights. For the very brave, Topshop's £45 crochet dress is a real headturner. Obviously you'll need something underneath it, preferably a white, grey or black slip (try Primark, M&S or La Senza).
