KeiraKeira Knightley is one of Britain’s hopes for Best Actress at the Oscars (along with Judi Dench) but we can’t look at her past Oscar fashion efforts since she’s never been before! She has recently spoken out saying she’s dreading the event because of people like us rating her outfit, "It's a bit like being in a dog show in a funny way. You get trotted out as Britain's prize poodle, wearing your dress and they give you marks out of ten for what you are wearing and what your jewels are like." Luckily for Keira, if the dress and Christian Louboutin shoes she wore for the Oscar Nominees Luncheon is anything to go by, she won’t have any problems.

Keira has been working with stylist Rachel Zoe, and has walked the red carpet in designers like Matthew Williamson, Calvin Klein and Roland Mouret. For the Oscars, we hope she doesn't stay too safe and avoids strapless column dresses. Perhaps she'll take her cue from fellow Brit Kate Winslet and wear red carpet favourites Badgley Mischka (since she's nominated for Pride & Prejudice, how about a romantic chiffon number), or follow on from fellow young Hollywood starlet Natalie Portman and go for Lanvin (perhaps this dress in a more Oscar-worthy fabric). It would be lovely to see her take a risk, though. Matthew Williamson has just taken over the reigns at Pucci, and we'd like to see Keira in one of his bold offerings - perhaps a gown in this gorgeous purple print. All will be revealed live on Sky Movies on Sunday! [Charlotte & Gemma]
