The Gwen Stefani-esque striped skirt with a frilled edge from ASOS is one of those items that, though it may appeal, has most people wondering what on earth to wear with it. The trick is to keep everything else quite simple, but to play up the sexy, form-fitting style. Dorothy Perkins lace trimmed top (£22) is corseted underneath, which will hold in the stomach and give a really great hourglass shape. Since the Chloe-esque white wedges on the model aren't available yet (unless they've gone on sale in the last four days) I thought Oasis' £50 black patent wedges would be a good replacement. Top off the look with a simple black clutch bag (from Amici Accessories) and a fashion-forward striped alice band from Topshop for £5. On a cooler day, you could even throw a cropped, Audrey Hepburn style jacket for some warmth. Voila, striped chic!
