The Spring Trench
It’s finally getting a bit warmer outside, which is a great excuse to invest in a lighter coat for spring. I’m terrible at gauging the weather, and always end up carrying an assortment of scarves, umbrellas and sunglasses in order to cover all eventualities. The trench coat is one of the chicest ways to keep off those Spring showers and Topshop have just released a great belted version for £75. If you can’t help but feel a little flasher-like in a full-length trench, then Gap also do a cropped version for $68. When it really is cold though, leave this coat at home, too many layers underneath will leave you looking chunkier than you really are. [Charlotte Howells]
