Project Catwalk

Set the video (or the Sky+ if you're a tech-head) for 8pm on Sky One tonight. It's time for Project Catwalk! If you've not heard about it yet, it's the UK equivalent of the US smash Project Runway (and sadly not a show dedicated to yours truly). Think of it as America's Next Top Model for fashion designers, as 12 wannabe's battle it out to be the next big thing. Elizabeth Hurley hosts, and is joined by permanent judges Lorraine Candy (editor of UK Elle) and Julien Macdonald, known to most as the man who designed that dress for Kelly Brook. They'll be joined each week by guest judges including Giles, Robert Cary Williams, Patrick Cox and Frost French.

With names like that, you get the feeling Project Catwalk has had a lot more money thrown at it than other British versions of US shows (Britain's Next Top Model, for example). Ben De Lisi is also going to be hanging around as a mentor, dishing out bitchy comments to the competitors (if the trailer is anything to go by). I have a soft spot for Ben De Lisi because his was the first London Fashion Week show I ever went to. Of course, I have a soft spot for Julien Macdonald because he designs nice shoes for Debenhams...
